If you saw my latest Instagram post, you’ll know that my incredibly talented mother decided to create DIY face masks to help combat the craziness of Covid-19. With the CDC now advising face coverings in public to slow the spread of the virus, it’s almost impossible to not pass someone wearing some form of protective facial gear. I still haven’t gotten used to this new “normal” and probably never will.
For anyone that may be in need of a mask, my mother has decided to temporarily take personal orders from the public. Below you will find pricing details, sizing, fabric options, photos and frequently asked questions.
I will keep this post updated with her current fabric inventory, including new prints. Please note, quantity is limited for some fabric patterns and they are available on a first come first serve basis. There is currently a shortage on supplies required to make masks, so these will be for sale until she’s unable to make them anymore.
Current Fabric Options:
Surgical Masks:
- Kids ($10):
- Dimensions: 6 1/2″ x 4″
- Fits most younger children
- Adult ($12):
- Dimensions: 8″ x 6″
- Fits most older children and adults
UPDATE: New CDC guidance recommends not placing cloth masks over children younger than 2. For this reason, surgical masks will not be made for children under the age of 2.
Full-Face Masks:
- Small ($12):
- Dimensions: 8″ x 5 1/2″
- Fits older children and most adults.
- Large ($14):
- Dimensions: 9 1/2″ x 6 1/2″
- Wider fit to wear over N-95 mask. Fits some adults.
Scrub Caps
By popular request, reversible scrub caps are now being offered. Please see details below for styles and pricing information.
- Short Tie ($20):
- Fabric print of your choice on the outside. We will choose a complimenting solid color for the inside.
- Long Tie ($20):
- Fabric print of your choice on the outside. We will choose a complimenting solid color for the inside.
- Upgrade (Optional) ($5):
- Fabric print of your choice on the inside.
Important Mask Notes:
+ Filter Pockets: Masks can be made with a filter pocket for an additional $2 each. Filters are not included, but can be purchased online to add inside your mask.
+ Nose Bridge Wiring: Adult surgical masks and both full-face masks are made with a complimentary nose bridge wire for a more secure fit. Please note in your order if you do not want the wiring. The wire is not included in the kids sizes due to safety reasons, however it can be included upon request for no additional charge.
+ Inside Mask Fabric: The inside of the masks are lined with a solid color which is not visible while the mask is being worn. All efforts will be made to select a solid color that pairs well with the outside fabric you have chosen.
+ Sizing: Masks are not a one-size-fits-all. The fit will vary based on size and age. Please reach out prior to placing an order if you have any questions about suggested sizing.

When placing your order for masks, please include the following:
- Name & Shipping address
- Quantity
- Style (surgical or full-face)
- Size
- Fabric choice letter
- Specify if you would like the filter pocket upgrade for the mask
- Specify if you would like wire or no wire if ordering kids sizes
When placing your order for caps, please include the following:
- Name & Shipping address
- Quantity
- Style (long tie or short tie)
- Specify if you would like the inside fabric upgrade
- Fabric choice letter(s)
If purchasing more than one item, please specify which style(s), size(s) and fabric(s) you would like for each.
Once I receive the above information, I will send a Paypal request (with shipping included) for your order. Please note, orders will not be processed until payment is received.
Shipping Rates:
- Shipping is a flat rate of $5.
- For orders of 3 or more items, shipping is $8.50
Tracking is included with all orders.
